‘Living healthy’ is a way of life which involves a combination of actions called ‘lifestyle modifications’ such as, a healthy diet, adequate exercise, adequate rest, regular health checks, good relationships, abstinence from alcohol and cigarette.
Evidence has shown that it is easier and cheaper to prevent than to treat chronic illnesses. The risk of having these illnesses is reduced by making healthy choices. Moreover, progression of these illnesses can be reduced or halted with lifestyle modifications.
